Pozíció leírása / Job description- Coordinates processes or a sub-section of the Department to ensure a reliable and timely execution, maintenance and follow-up of respective financial processes.
- Prepares and books all accounting documents and economic events in line with generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP) and internal company procedures.
- Allocates and coordinates the work between team members.
- Ensures that all transactions are finalized in line with timing and conditions established by the internal control framework.
- Takes care that all relevant procedures, manuals and checklists are kept up-to-date.
- Contributes to a correct and punctual accounting closing process with a focus on the correctness, timeliness and completeness of the processed data.
- Preserves and further develops business expertise on specific requirements and/or systems.
- Provides the Superior with status reports related to the administrative processing in accordance with internal procedures and/or departmental objectives.
- Maintains an interface with establishments and other administrative departments and chooses the right way of communication (phone or e-mail).
- Keeps regular flow of information to superior on activities.
- Escalates exceptional events to a higher level.
- Ensures the reliability and timely gathering of source data.
- Safeguards that all financial operations are handled accurately and on time, according to the internal control framework and company policies.
- Signals process discrepancies and communicates them to relevant parties.
- Initiates corrective action for disturbances in the process within the established procedural framework.
- Functionally steers a team of accounting staff to achieve set operational targets, in concert with the Supervisor.
- Integrates new staff members through on-the-job training.
- Supports the continued availability of capable staff through production planning.
- Reports and handles ad hoc staff performance issues in concert with Superior.
- Manages and represents the team in case of absence of the Supervisor (deputising)
- College degree preferably with focus on Accounting.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Applications, ERP Accounting systems (preferably SAP).
- Intermediate English in writing and verbally.
