We are looking for a Model Risk Specialist - Actuarial for our client who is one of the largest provider of life insurance in Hungary.
You will be responsible for validating various complex financial and actuarial models to assist fulfilling the commitment of a lifetime of financial security for the customers and other stakeholders.
Pozíció leírása / Job description- Review and analyze complex actuarial models across a variety of life and health insurance products, including long-term care, variable and fixed annuities, and financial guarantee products.
- Assess model risk and provide expert advice on model development, validation, and process improvements.
- Evaluate model assumptions using both traditional actuarial techniques and innovative approaches, such as machine learning and dynamic assumption setting.
- Ensure models meet high standards for accuracy, auditability, scalability, and overall quality.
- Collaborate within a newly established team of experienced actuaries to support a major U.S.-based insurance partner.
- Drive improvements in actuarial methodologies and contribute to the development of best practices in model governance.
- Apply critical thinking to challenge existing models and propose practical, forward-thinking solutions.
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development in an environment that supports innovation and professional growth.
- Experience in the life, health or pension actuarial field either in a corporate or consultancy setting
- Full proficiency in English
- Orecise, close attention to detail
- Technical mindset with a keen mind for problem solving
- Knowledge of actuarial software (i.e. Prophet, AXIS, MoSes, RAFM) or programming languages (R, Python, VBA) is a plus
