Our partner is a fast-growing international leader in the subscription industry, currently seeking a proactive Accountant to join their newly forming team in Budapest.
In this role, you will play a key part in building the local accounting function from the ground up while supporting global entities and helping create scalable, high-quality financial operations in a truly international environment.
Pozíció leírása / Job description- Oversee transaction processing, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and expense management.
- Manage intercompany balances and clear complex reconciliation items across group entities.
- Provide key support on ad-hoc accounting initiatives as operational needs evolve.
- Play a key role in smooth month-end and quarter-end closing routines.
- Prepare standardized reporting deliverables for parent company review.
- Coordinate with external advisors to ensure full local compliance and statutory filings.
- Help establish and refine standardized accounting practices for the newly formed Budapest function.
- Drive optimization of our NetSuite ERP environment to support corporate expansion.
- Support post-acquisition integration and create lean, high-performing operational workflows.
- Partner directly with global Finance, Tax, and Controlling stakeholders from our Budapest office.
- Help navigate multi-jurisdiction financial requirements across an international portfolio.
- Hands-on accounting experience from a similar role
- A proactive mindset and a strong drive to improve processes
- Experience working with digital and scalable accounting solutions
- Strong attention to detail combined with a pragmatic approach
- Highly proficient communication skills in English
- German language skills is an advantage
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite expertise is also an asset
