Department Oversight: Manage daily operations across the accounting department, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and payroll.
Global GL Management: Oversee the General Ledger for all group entities to ensure a unified and accurate financial picture.
Closing Excellence: Drive timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS).
Technical Authority: Author and maintain definitive position papers on accounting treatments and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors during group audits.
Process Improvement & Systems
Innovation: Drive process improvements and automation within all accounting functions to increase efficiency.
Scalability: Ensure that our accounting systems and workflows scale seamlessly with the business’s rapid global growth.
Team Management & Strategic Collaboration
Empowered Leadership: Implement a delegation framework that pushes operational tasks to the team, freeing up your bandwidth for strategic innovation.
Mentorship: Provide structured support and clear guidance to a growing international team, serving as a mentor for junior members and new hires.
Cross-functional Initiatives: Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and other departments on global initiatives.
CFO Support: Assist the CFO with ad-hoc financial analysis and high-level strategic projects.
You have 5–8 years of relevant experience, including group consolidation and a deep understanding of IFRS/GAAP
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting/Finance. A professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CA) is a huge plus
Your English is excellent (written and spoken), and you can translate complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders
Experience in a multinational structure or a Big 4 background will give you a great head start here
You enjoy juggling priorities and are as comfortable being "hands-on" as you are leading a meeting
