Aegon Global Technology Services (GTS) provides IT infrastructure, application and cloud support services to the Aegon business units. GTS is responsible for the provisioning, support and ongoing maintenance of IT operating platforms, applications, and services. Additional GTS responsibilities include providing IT infrastructure solutions that are in alignment with business objectives and the AGT technology strategy.

  • Provide support for the governance concerning the ITAM tools applied in managing, monitoring, and reporting on IT assets and inventory
  • Work with the ITSM manager to establish a relationship and consistency between the IT Asset database and the CMDB
  • Define and enhance scheme for identifying hardware and software-related assets as well as CIs, including versioning and dependencies in the asset management tools, attributes, the Contract management library, and the CMDB
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and their status; also perform trend analyses
  • Manage inventory of assets as they compare to the CMDB, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded by the teams in charge in the tools to ensure that the vendor contracts are complied with
  • Perform verification and audit of DML and CMDB content; verify software assets with license contracts, confirm hardware assets with actual inventory, and initiate corrective actions and tract them
  • Assist with Global or take lead/significant role during regional Vendor Audits and internal compliance related to IT Assets
  • Manage activities concerning license compliance audits to be able to answer to requests from software editors effectively
  • Manage to processes relating to software and hardware asset management, execute and enhance them
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
  • Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performance
  • Managing and maintaining databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organizations software and hardware
  • Help to establish and manage to the team KPI/Metrics and run standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management
  • Take part in various projects, providing support to Managers and up to VPs of Infrastructure and Finance
  • Provide consultancy to ensure IT designs are optimized to make maximum use of licenses. Answer what-if questions about changes to the IT environment that may impact license requirements.
  • Work with multiple business units to ensure consistency, entitlement reviews and recommendations for optimization
  • Validate requirements to create and modify IT software asset records and associated contract records.
  • Manually create or modify IT software asset records in software asset application. Assist with ensuring all changes to vendor agreements are reflected in the software asset management application as confirmed with license contract.
  • Create and update software counters for software titles and licenses. Research upgrade and downgrade parameters that impact client use rights.
  • Understand and determine impact of current utilization and license installations on contract use rights.
  • Ensure software license records are linked to the correct hardware device.
  • Support and assist analysis impact of software licenses for new or modified software agreements.
  • Perform reconciliation analysis for publishers; communicate results to end users and Global Technology Services for application removal.
  • Research, determine availability, and approval of new software license requests.
  • Partner with Procurement Leads on software renewals to determine license requirements.
  • Monitor administrative software portals and implement feeds into software asset management application where applicable.
  • Address software/hardware research requests.
  • Assist with identification of cost savings opportunities.
  • Determine and communicate process improvements for improved efficiencies in software asset management.
  • Generate, analyze, and review with managers/business units software license compliance status reports with action recommendations as required.
  • Assist with ensuring all changes to vendor agreements are reflected in the software asset management application as confirmed with license contract

Elvárások / Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, technology, or related field or demonstratable experience
  • Minimum three years of experience and knowledge with IT hardware and or software asset management
  • Experience with interpretation of software licensing contract terms and conditions
  • Significant knowledge and five years plus experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports
  • Understanding of complex software agreements
  • Knowledge of licensing agreements involving software, including Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle
  • Well versed vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Significant knowledge of IT Service Management processes
  • Understanding complex software and hardware agreements
  • Ability to work in a global environment, understand nuances with global vs local as it relates to communication and contracting
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
