Our client is a USA-based start-up. They are focusing on short-term, premium apartment rental. These apartments are located in the USA and have exceptional equipment with IoT devices. Their Product team - located in Budapest - is growing with experienced software engineers.

  • The role is full-time and remote. Our partner's Product & Engineering team is split between the United States and Hungary. You'll be an employee of their Hungarian subsidiary along with 20+ local teammates.
  • A few examples of what they are working on:
    • The introduction of Microfrontends to their architecture
    • A website and booking engine using both static and server-side rendering
    • A progressive web application for their guests to manage their booking
    • An in-house component library documented in Storybook
    • A scalable own Property Management System, integrating with numerous 3rd party vendors
  • Your product team will consist of multidisciplinary engineers, designers, and product managers. You'll report to one of their engineering managers in Hungary (all of them ex-engineers).

Elvárások / Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering experience with JavaScript, at least 3+ years in a senior role
  • Strong working knowledge of front-end development, frameworks (currently they use Vue.js), and solid vanilla Javascript skills
  • Good high-level system design and architecture planning capabilities
  • Adequate working experience with Node.js, rock-solid understanding of how APIs work
  • Knowledge about accessibility, performance
  • Firm semantic HTML and up-to-date (S)CSS skills
  • Ability to operate without extensive guidance. Their engineers take on full ownership of the product areas they are working on and are fully empowered and required to make decisions across the stack
  • Experience with agile methodologies and rapid iteration cycles, working in CI/CD environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and spoken
  • Use English self-confidently as a working language
