Our global partner specialized in IT security services, is looking for a Head of Engineering.

The company is medium sized company, with stable international background. They are working in a modern environment with cutting-edge technologies and focusing on innovative software development, security and cloud solutions.

Pozíció leírása / Job description

-Lead, coach and support the talented engineers who architect, develop, and operate mobile apps and back-end services supporting millions of users across multiple industries. Further develop the engineering team with recruitment of high quality colleagues and by instilling a sense of ownership and impact.

-Mentor engineering managers on delivering complex cross-team engineering projects. Work collaboratively across our geographically distributed teams in Hungary and Switzerland.

-Lead the efficient delivery for time-boxed software releases, ensuring high quality and innovative feature development. Be responsible for meeting feature launch deadlines.

-Foster a culture of mutual respect and collaborative decision making.

-Build technology roadmaps with senior engineering managers and lead prioritization; balance the right amount of structure and planning for a fast-paced engineering team.

-Manage and oversee the overall Engineering budget.

-Work with our Product Management team to ensure requirements and the “why” are clear. Challenge ideas and specs, gather realistic timelines, set deadlines and timelines with engineering managers.

-Build and maintain strong lines of communication and understanding between Engineering, Customer Success, Operations and Product Management teams.

-Represent Engineering at the executive and board level. Showcase your expertise by speaking at external conferences.

-Be an awesome person to work with, somebody who sincerely empathizes with others.

Elvárások / Requirements

-You have proven experience as the leader of an Engineering organization in a fast-growing, ambitious tech company with SaaS products. You have a good understanding of how to lead and inspire through others.

-10+ years of combined engineering experience; ideally starting as a software engineer, then transitioning to senior management roles.

-Experience leading large teams of managers and software engineers (35+).

-Ability and willingness to drive the day to day operations of an engineering organization. You are comfortable and willing to frequently travel between our offices in Europe.

-Strong people management skills and an entrepreneurial drive with a history of hiring, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

-You possess a deep understanding of how to translate product and business goals into tech strategies.

-Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
