The IFRS and UK GAAP Accounting Manager, as a member of the Company Accounting team, manages the Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance Code processes for the Company Group.

This is a critical role to 1) project manage the Groups financial reporting to the London Stock Exchange 2) project manage the interface with the external auditor 3) lead the editing of external documents specifically the annual and half-year report, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK requirements.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Your key tasks will be:

  • Project manage the financial audits, coordinating deliverables with external auditors, internal experts, and responsible management.
  • Project manage the external financial reporting (particularly half-year and annual financial statements) in the way that the Company can timely and accurately issue audited financial statements.
  • Prepare or review other inputs to Group month-end closings and financial audits
  • Monitor changes in IFRS, UK GAAP, and UK Corporate Governance Code continuously, and ensure compliance with these regulations.
  • Track, oversee, lead or execute (as appropriate) certain Finance and Accounting projects.

Requirements:

  • University or college degree in economics, majoring in finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years work experience in a similar area preferably at a UK-listed multinational company.
  • Experience at an audit company and/or with FRC is an advantage.
  • Firm understanding of key accounting concepts, particularly IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Reliable and up-to-date knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code is an advantage.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • International accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience in the use of ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Great communication skills.
