We are looking for a high caliber Finance Manager for our client with start-up culture in Budapest. In this role you will support the growth demands of an innovative technology company in the Travel & Aviation industry.

  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to Senior Management Team, Divisional P&L owners and Departments heads with in-depth analysis, making accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Revenue calculation and recognition
  • Analyse and monitor current and historic trends in key performance indicators (KPIs) including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, R&D, G&A, T&E and capital expenditures, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances.
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Forecasting, Business Intelligence and Dashboard Reporting
  • Responsible for reviewing the commercials of key customer agreements, ensuring they comply with the business’s key terms of trade and strategic objectives
  • Responsible for accurate revenue recognition in line with the relevant accounting standards
  • Own the company’s CRM and Time Reporting systems ensuring they remain fit-for-purpose and data is captured in a robust and meaningful manner.
  • Ensure any payment issues relating to commercial issues are resolved with customers.
  • Provide proper coaching, training and mentoring to subordinates
  • Approve bank payments (payroll, AP, taxes) via company’s e-bank system
  • Liaising with local accounting partner, local tax advisor and payroll company
  • Driving continuous improvement of finance processes
  • Preparation of revenue and cost forecasts
  • Management of full P&L Budgeting cycle
  •  Responsible for full P&L and BS reviews of the Hungarian entity
  • Journal review and approval (payroll, accruals, prepayments) of the Hungarian entity
  • Management accounts preparation for the group (London & Hungary)
  • Manage annual audit process

Elvárások / Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Finance management role, focusing on planning, forecasting, budgeting
  • Able to adapt a young, fast-paced environment
  • Ideally has technology, time and materials or agency experience in a SME sized company
  • Excellent English knowledge spoken and written
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Time Reporting and CRM systems
