They are looking for a proactive accountant with international experience to join the team as the first Finance hire in the Budapest office. Under the head office guidance, you will be responsible for overseeing external accounting providers and play a pivotal role in the overall group accounting and consolidation.

• Overall responsibility for intercompany transactions and management reports from our Hungarian accounting provider
• Assisting in the preparation of group monthly management accounts, analysis and commentary for review
• Preparation of group monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, local and international VAT returns
• Analyzing big data sets and ad-hoc reporting across the business
• Driving improvements in management accounting, financial controls, and processes in order to keep up with our growth
• Supporting the Finance Controller with our annual audit
• Assisting with Oracle Netsuite ERP implementation

Elvárások / Requirements

• International accounting qualification (or equivalent)
• At least 2 to 3 years of proven experience with interim and annual reporting according to IFRS, group accounting and consolidation in an international business
• Very PC literate, strong Excel skills
• Worked with big data sets in the past (focus on attention to detail)
• Proven ability to work in a fast-moving and very dynamic environment with constant new challenges
• Ability to see the bigger picture in what a listed SME is but with solid growth plans 
• Ability to handle an extensive workload, possesses a can-do attitude and is a strong communicator
• As you are expected to work independently, it’s also very important that you are well organized, structured, detail-oriented and accurate
• Proficiency in both English and Hungarian 
• Knowledge of German not essential but an advantage 
• Experience in using Oracle Netsuite not essential but an advantage
