Pozíció leírása / Job description

Summary of the position:
The Technical and Operations Manager is responsible for the definition, implementation and the monitoring of all technical, quality, safety, environmental and risks guidelines and activities including quality management system and related certification. He/she is also responsible for all activities involving maintenance of assigned existing services within the service portfolio in such a manner that these services can be handled adequately and efficiently by the operational departments (Sales, Planning, Invoicing and other Administration); furthermore he/she is also responsible for research and development of assigned new services to be integrated within the service portfolio based on prior approval by the local management.


Planning:
• Elaborating yearly technical and operational excellence action plan and corresponding budget in agreement with superior
• Report and analyze monthly results and initiate corrective actions
• Execute quarterly planning review
• Carry out, monitoring of technical and operational performance and associated key performance indicators

Operating:
• Plan, prepare, maintain and evaluate the technical, quality, safety, environmental, risk activities related to operational deliveries.
• Coordinate technical and operational activities with the internal and external organization in his/her geographical area of responsibility.
• Develop, coordinate and implement technical and operational aspects of new services
• Support technically the development of existing and new IS/IT systems related to the production of the different services.
• Responsible for the co-ordination and processing of all the customer complaints
• Support recruiting, staffing, training of productions individuals (controllers, auditors, site manager, controller team leaders, etc.)
• Provide operational support by coordinating interfaces to responsible organisational units
• Provide technical and operational support to the organization
• Organise (prepare, execute, follow-up) regular technical meetings, supervision of technical staff, control of reports,
• Develop, guide and manage all quality, safety and environmental management systems based on guidelines, customer specifications and legal regulations
• Monitor the quality, safety and environmental management systems and steer corrections if necessary
• Contribute to all internal and external committees and project teams in all technical aspects and ensure the companies interest
• Plan and initiate internal audits and ensure an adequate documentation
• Initiate and steer certification projects, select certification bodies and manage and guide all audits in the area of responsibility
• Identify and support the development of new potential areas and opportunities for the service portfolio
• Provide technical/editorial input and support of in- and external venues (seminars, conferences, fairs) and externally focused media (service sheets and presentations, white papers) for or in relation with assigned services

Reporting:
• Elaborate monthly reports to forward to superior
• Report results of technical and operational past and future activities to supervisor on a regular basis.
• Elaborate reports on field trips
• Reporting of incidental key issues


Elvárások / Requirements

• University degree or equivalent graduate level in engineering and quality
• Minimum of 5 years job related experience in the automotive sector (experience in the field of services to industry is a clear plus)
• Clean driving license
• Fluency in English and in a second language (German or French is a clear plus)
