About the Role
The Project Manager, Direct Materials Cost will improve the company overall profitability and attractiveness to its customer. The role will be responsible for the success of the company’s direct material cost management teams and the execution of the vision and strategy of the direct material cost optimization program and delivery of targeted EBIT improvement both on short/mid/long term.
What You Will Do:
...- As Project Manager you integrate cross-functional teams and its members in the Direct Material cost management teams
- Support, control and challenge the teams to make sure they operate effectively and reach profitability targets
- Clear responsibilities, drive accountibility and transparency
- Mentor team members and support team integrity
- Challenge results, methods and tools
- Challenge procurement techniques and processes
- Challenge design to cost approach
- Execute vision and strategy activities of the Direct Material cost management (review target, track implementation plans, execute framework, align with Performance office)
- Communication with stakeholders
Elvárások / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Economics
- Background with several years of experience in (ideally all) the following fields:
Program/Project management
Cost Engineering
Engineering
Procurement
- Technical competency in electronic products (Electrical, Mechanical, Semiconductor components)
- Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written)Ability and personality to:
- drive, motivate and support teams
- control, challenge status quo, current processes, methods and tools
- Strong influencing and networking skills – ideally experince in a diverse cross-functional environment
- Understanding of Procurement processes & familiarity with the automotive global supply base
- Understanding of Cost calculation methods and fact-based negotiations
- Understanding of Design to Cost best practices
- Strong data & analytics competency
- Project Management experience/skillset – strong ability to drive and pressure timely execution of targets
