Philips has its pioneer factory in Tamási which has specialized in producing energy effective lighting objects. The factory started its operation in 1968 and it was acquired by Philips only in 2007.
Since 2007 Philips take the factory as a strategic spot in producing lighting objects so it became one of the most developing employer of the region and also the flagship branch of Philips in Hungary.
